From a different point of view

In shadows deep where silence reigns,

There walks a friend through joy and pains,

A timeless presence, cold and true,

Death, my friend, I speak of you.

Though feared by many, misunderstood,

You wear a cloak of somber hood,

Yet in your grasp, a gift you bear,

A solemn truth, a burden rare.

You whisper secrets, life's grand scheme,

A passage to the endless dream,

Through you, we find our final peace,

In your embrace, our struggles cease.

You are the keeper of life's score,

A threshold to forevermore,

A trusted guide to worlds unknown,

In your embrace, we find our home.

You teach us to cherish each day,

To savor moments, come what may,

For in your shadow, we must see,

The beauty of mortality.

So, Death, my friend, with gentle grace,

You lead us to a different place,

In your cold hand, we find the end,

Yet in your wisdom, we transcend.

Friendship
