Death by Greed

Dying

By jair ortizPublished 4 years ago 1 min read

Silver-spoon fed won’t know the true struggle of life. Just trying to stay alive while the rest of the world die. And they glide through on their inheritance. But pain’s the only thing I inherited.

We wonder when life will give because it only ever seems to take. We try to stand our ground but our souls always seem to break. You watch us from towers with your judgmental eyes, taking joy in controlling us through your corruption and lies.

Some bosses too big-for-your-britches making big shot decisions. Playing people for pawns to be placed in any position.

The earth is dying, people dying, and greed’s one of the reasons. Floods, storms, and fires getting stronger as we pass through each of the seasons.

A true thanks to anyone working to save our future and I’m gonna put in my work too.

But to make sure we survive, to find peace past our pride, to live a long life, we’ll need all of you.
