The cycles of life

Seasons come and go, the moon phases will wax and wane

Wonder fills my soul, Life and Death sacred and profane

I rise in the spring, born when the flowers bloom and sing

I play in the summers, where hot passions ignite lovers

I become slow and weary in the Autumn when the weather is dreary

Then I die in winter where my body and soul had grown thinner

As my body rots in the ground, where worms and maggots can be found

Ontop my shallow grave a sprout of a seed that will soon become a tree

And my soul dances up into the air, into the clouds fancy and free

My flesh now laid to rest gives fuel to the life of others in the soil

My Spirit is on a new quest away from earth and this mortal coil.
