Dear You

The hope is ever so fleeting

Dear You,

.

Oh how I wish we could meet,

I beg for a redo,

Kiss all the toes on your feet,

All the things I could do.

.

Help you spread your wings,

Promise to never destroy you,

Help you wipe away your sins,

Your love and care I attend to.

.

Peck each star in the constellation of your face,

I would do anything,

Embrace your mistakes, never a disgrace

But this secret, I am burying.

.

For you, existence awaits,

If I can so wish it into being,

Yet the body dictates,

The hope is ever so fleeting.

.

Teach you to never submit,

Paint the canvas of reality,

Squeeze your hand while you uncover it,

Revel in your ingenuous curiosity.

.

My little sprout, I’ll watch you grow,

Whoever you are is what I wished

for, I’m just dying to know,

However,

You do not exist.
