Dear Tomorrow,
I write to you with hope and sorrow,
For you hold the future, bright or bleak,
A canvas blank, yet ours to seek,
In your hands, the power to change,
To shape a world that is estranged.
Today's choices paint the scene,
For what tomorrow's eyes will glean,
Will it be a landscape, pure and green,
Or a dystopia, dark and mean?
The clock ticks, the time draws near,
To make decisions without fear.
Dear Tomorrow, we know our flaws,
The scars we've left, the broken laws,
The damage done, the earth abused,
In our pursuit of wealth, we've often bruised,
The oceans, forests, and the air,
Depleting resources without a care.
But we wake up now, with hearts awake,
To the consequences we must now take,
To heal the wounds we've caused so deep,
To sow new seeds, to tend and reap,
To cherish nature's gifts so pure,
For they are ours to protect and ensure.
Dear Tomorrow, we see the signs,
Of climate change's frightening lines,
Rising seas, scorching heat,
Disappearing species, a dire defeat,
Extreme weather, melting ice,
Time is running out, it's not just nice,
To talk about change in vague abstraction,
It's time for action, not just distraction.
Dear Tomorrow, we have a choice,
To raise our voices, to use our voice,
To stand united, hand in hand,
Across all borders, a global stand,
To fight for justice, for equity,
For human rights, for dignity,
To lift each other, to rise above,
To foster kindness, and boundless love.
Dear Tomorrow, we'll right the wrongs,
We'll sing a different, hopeful song,
We'll prioritize the common good,
And end the greed that's understood,
To be the driving force of old,
That's left our world bruised, battered, and bold.
We'll embrace diversity with open hearts,
And see the strength in our different parts,
We'll celebrate our shared humanity,
And build a world of profound unity,
Where no one's left behind or excluded,
And all can flourish, free and un-encruded.
Dear Tomorrow, we'll innovate,
With sustainable solutions, we'll create,
Clean energy, and circular design,
Reduced waste, and pollution's decline,
We'll heal the soil, restore the land,
And protect the creatures, grand and grand,
For every life, big or small,
Has a place on this planet, one and all.
Dear Tomorrow, we'll educate,
Empower minds, eradicate hate,
We'll prioritize knowledge, wisdom, and truth,
And guide our children from their youth,
To be critical thinkers, with open minds,
To embrace diversity that binds,
To value kindness, empathy,
And tread with care, sustainably.
Dear Tomorrow, we'll come together,
Across all walks of life, no matter,
Our race, religion, gender, or creed,
We'll work as one, in thought and deed,
To build a world that's just and fair,
Where peace and harmony are in the air,
Where love and compassion are the norm,
And all can weather life's every storm.
Dear Tomorrow, with humble hearts,
We acknowledge our past's painful parts,
But we look ahead with hope and grace,
For a better world we aim to chase,
With courage, resilience, and unwavering might,
We'll overcome challenges, and make things right,
For you, dear tomorrow, hold our dreams,
A world that's bright, with endless gleams.
So, here we stand, today we vow,
To create a future that we'll be proud,
A legacy for generations to come,
Where love and respect are second to
