We are invisible to each other
A happier thing for you than for me
I suspect; these words are from another
For you alone, and everyone to see

But not all locks are made in the same way
Nor are all keys forged from the same alloy
Somehow, the two must meet and then sashay
The better to their compound spell deploy

Note that loosing and binding both await:
Egress and entrance lurk in every gate
An inky outline of ideas’ weight
For you, forensically, to contemplate

The door unlocks, the scene is yours to read
All see the marks, but your sleuth’s eye they need

As you evoke the sense of sight, you make this poem a treasure to read and bask in its brilliant brevity.
