Dearest Ophelia,

I write a second time

I like how you liked the last first line

But this one is sadder

More obvious.Since I feel my woven words

Were far too tough

Did you catch the feeling?

See the mask that shields, unyielding?

I wish you knew.

I wish you could see my breath hitching

At any chance of losing you.

My dearest Ophelia,

You're my best friend.

And I miss you.

Unknowingly or otherwise,

You helped me through my toughest time.

And I can't seem to say it outside of poetry,

But right now I'm quite lonely.

I wish I had you here with me

To sit and chatter through each day.

I've said before - our distance grows

Don't make me think that you don't know.

I'd love to hear your voice again,

My friend.

So I'll say it loud and clear

Ophelia - God I fucking miss you.
