I miss you, Ophelia.

a poem.

By Ruby RedPublished about a year ago 1 min read
Ophelia; a painting based on the character from Hamlet.

God, I fucking miss you.

The world has gone bland without you by my side.

And even if you were away,

I could search for you

Pray to meet your eyes

And find my joys once again.

But the swiftness of time has adorned my tears with wreaths and bells

So I cannot express what I am lacking now

It is emptiness I find here until I see your smile

And my heart of the nymphs won't let my mind forget the weighted laughter we now never share

The distance is tripled because of the deep salty wounds we have shared

It is not fair, how much I miss you.

And yet I do.
