Dear Lord

Dear Lord,

I don't know where to start,

I wasn't the best child of Yours,

and Your sadness breaks my heart.

You were always kind and gracious

and sometimes I didn't care,

but can we turn the leaf again,

and I will try my best

not to be that lukewarm Christian

and share Your Word and pray.

Dear Lord,

can You hear me up there?

Will You still be patient with me

if I stumble again?

I am still learning distinguish wheat from tares,

but I promise to be more dilligent,

because I want You to be proud of me

and don't let You down this time.

Dear Lord,

I want to make amends,

I have been committing too many sins

and now it is time for them to end.

Will You ever forgive me,

my disobedience and selfishness?

I want to cut the shackles

and finally be free.

Dear Lord,

I praise You for Your mercy,

You have never left my side,

even when I wasn't worthy.

I respectfully and humbly ask You to stay,

be present in my life, guard my steps

and don't ever let me go astray...
