Dear John

I was just a baby

Just a couple months past one

My brother was even younger

In fact.. he was just born

My father worked alot

Putting in 60+ hours a week

To place a roof over our heads

And food on the table to eat

Harbouring immature selfish thoughts

My mother was a young mother

To young to know what she wanted

To drugged to care for another

One day while my fathers at work

My mother placed her plans together

My father came home to no one

And only to find a letter

"Took the boys to visit family"

"Back in a few weeks" to never come home

My mother stole my father's family

And left him with a dear john note

sad poetry

About the Creator

Thomas F

I was shot in the face at point blank range with a double barrel 12 gage during an strong arm robbery that quickly turned into an Attempted Murder. Although I'm missing my right eye and a bullet in my brain. I AM STILL ME & I AM STILL HERE
