Dear Future Generations
Wishing for colorful tomorrows - by a 13 year old poet
Dear Future Generations
By Aliya Meyers
13 year old poet
Dear Future Generations:
I'm blue because there's too much Homophobia in the world
I'm red with anger that I have not yet made a difference.
I'm green - because I am still young and I am not sure what I can do to help.
I’m without color- because I sometimes live in a void and want to do more - but not sure what.
But I am also...
Gold. I promise to shine. Shine as bright as the sun - to make a difference for you - future generations.
Magenta. I promise to not be quiet. I promise to stand out and be heard - not just for me - but for you - future generations.
Every color of the rainbow. I promise to shine after the rainiest of days and make any difference I can -- for you - future generations.
My wish is for colorful tomorrows. I will do everything I can - to make this a reality.
