dear CNN i have a lot to say
i saw a video on twitter that ruined my entire day
you videoed this for whose entertainment?
you could have intervened with the payment
this poor child was NINE YEARS OLD
you sat back and recorded her being sold
to an old man who claimed to be fifty five
a helpless child is now his wife
no child should ever have to work to provide for their family
no child should ever be stripped away their right to live happily
no child should ever be forced to marry
no child should ever have the pressure of their family on their backs to carry
the children need saving
instead they are being born to be slaving
children walk miles without any shoes
why is that not on your breaking news?
their bodies are not for selling
their jobs are not to be street begging
they have been deprived from a normal childhood
help them live like a child should

A guest in my own home
This was the first poem I had ever wrote, I was sixteen years old, too naive to know what i know now. It felt like my own therapy, writing down my most deepest darkest secret. This is where it all began, exposing my diary for all to read, a weight off of my shoulders, a sudden relief. Sometimes you have to grow through what you go through.

The steps to losing a child
Step One: Lose a child. Not what anyone wants to happen and nothing you can do to change it, but you can go through steps to becoming happy again. You can go through steps to loving again. You can go through steps to become a new you because after losing a child you will never be the same person you once were.
