Making Those 'Wise' decisions
When sometimes the small things are the 'big things'
One day as I sat down and thought
About all the things that I had bought
On that day I looked at my clothes and face
They were beautiful, but why did I make haste?
I realized I had overspent
On fashion and beauty products rather than saving for the rent,
Then I thought 'Why wasn't I wise?'
And believed all the promotional hype and lies?
Sometimes the world tells a lot of lies,
Regarding what is truth and what to despise
I suppose the choice is up to you
Regarding choosing what to do.
And so I read the Book of Proverbs every day...
Every day a line I tried to memorize and say,
I wanted to be one of the careful ones
Rather than be one of those who only had fun.
