To those of you in Power,
In the Congress and the Senate,
In the House of Representatives,
In the Office of our President.
I address you thus, in singular,
As if, on my own.
But my Voice is not the only one,
I do not Stand alone.
Preach ye of Freedom, and Expression unforbidden,
Yet, "freedom" in reality is judging my Religion.
Matters it which god I pray to, or if I pray at all?
Why should Faith become the reson for your prejudicial gall?
As people are my witness, as nature backs me up,
I identify as Human, whatever gender I develop.
The color of my skin and the gender of my birth,
Should not be complications in the Progress of my Work.
My race does not define me,
Nor decide my life or bind me.
I reject the social stereotypes built on racial inequality.
Love is what I Choose to Give, to those who do deserve it.
This is not something that you can Judge but mine and theirs to Commit.
You stand upon a podium of self-righteousness and Pomp,
Yet Yourselves are not the Reaon for your title or your triumph.
We hold you to your Oath, as sworn you by the Law,
To "defend the Constitution." "So help me, God."
If spoken Word is as to you as Music is to me,
Will not you Listen to my Voice, just once, as earnestly?
Adults and politicians,
Businessmen and rhetoricians,
I beg of you to listen,
To the future generation....
The power of our nation, lies not through strong attrition,
Or oppression of the People and self-Thought and self-opinion.
Age becomes irrelevant in the face of self-expression,
For the Future is determined by the People, not the President.
In a year or two or more, the current generation,
Will become the newest Voters, the new Masses, the new Present.
You can put us down for now, in this time and this Moment
But our Time will come and when it does...
You will have to Listen.
