I am a curse that is often sought by man.

When you succumb to me you stand alone.

I have wreaked havoc on earth turning man against his brother.

Caused kingdoms to fall, and people to flee for mercy.

I have no beginning or end,

When you take me in you will never lend.

The darkness of man’s heart can be brought out by me,

I am the deadly sin of Greed and can’t be seen by naked eye.

Like a disease I spread into pandemics,

I can be fought, yet difficult to beat.

I will always exist as I am eternal.

I stain the soul and tear friendships apart.

While your physical body remains intact,

Your life will never be the same when you bond with me,

As though you have died inside.

As I have said my name is Greed,

Avoid me at all costs by letting your heart take the lead.
