Softly, darkness lay like a blanket, holding the world as it breathed deeply.

Inside, everyone was still dreaming, not yet ready to stir before the dawn. A

Lone figure sat on a lark's perch with eyes wide, barely making a sound.

Every shade of blackness shifted before her in the transient sky until...

Night gave way to beams flooding the vast expanse in an instant.

Cautiously, the sun reached to touch her face, bringing a delicate warmth.

Echos of life signaled the start of day and the silence surrendered.
