Daughter's Glow

Dear Hadassah....

By Bryan WafulaPublished about a year ago 1 min read

To My Daughter, Hadassah Harris

(Dedicated to my little light, with a toothless smile that warms the world)

Oh Hadassah, my sweet, my star,

Born of love, you’ve traveled far.

Your chubby cheeks, like the moon’s soft glow,

Hold a charm only heaven could bestow.

Your toothless smile, a melody of glee,

Is brighter than the sun on the morning sea.

It speaks of innocence, pure and true,

A gift so precious, it renews.

Your skin, kissed by light, soft as the dawn,

A canvas of warmth to forever lean on.

With tiny fingers reaching, curious and wise,

You weave your magic, beneath watching skies.

Oh Hadassah, with laughter so bright,

You turn every shadow into radiant light.

Each coo, each giggle, a treasure profound,

A symphony of joy in its gentle sound.

Your chubby cheeks, a pillow of bliss,

Each kiss upon them, a mother’s wish.

To shield you, love you, guide your way,

To keep your world sunny every day.

In your eyes, a spark of grace,

A universe dances, a boundless space.

Hadassah, my light, my sweetest refrain,

Forever my heart, in joy and pain.

For you are my miracle, my dream come true,

My world begins and ends with you.
