Daughter's Dilemma
For You to Feel as You Feel Fit
You spend your life a stop and start
Running from heart to heart
And man to man.
You may think that you may know
Where it is you want to go;
Where you stand.
But trust in me, for I see
Exactly where you will be
If you follow this path indefinitely.
It’s full of sad, full of bad
Big and small to make you mad.
Follow your heart until the end
To the light.
All my life I’ve been held back
All my love seems to lack
Part of a plan.
All I wanted was a hug
Something to make me feel loved
By any man.
You are he, can not see
What is right in front of me
This path so indefinitely.
Ignore my sighs, please advise
How to go from lows to highs.
Follow my heart until the end
To the light.
Please dear child you must learn
How this fire must burn
Before it goes.
You may think that you are there
That you have been everywhere
That’s not so.
How can I up and fly
When your words can make me die
Bringing me to an end of time.
You are you but I must do
What's best for me and others too...
Follow my heart until the end
To the light.
