Todays dating culture has programmed boys to see women as toys.

Sweet and simple meet and greet,

Long walks, late night talks.

Putting on an amazing show, it seems as if there is an attempt to know.

Placed on a pedestal, feeling so special.

Speaking for weeks, slowly revealing secrets.

First date goes well, tried to process what was felt.

Wined and dined a few more times, according to society, its about that time.

Starting to tiptoe around the topic, eventually getting graphic

Sending detailed text messages with photos attached expecting me to send it back

Somehow convinced to spend the night,

Hot and heavy,

Sensually steamy,

Intensely filled with lust.

Poof, The next day a cloud of dust.

Giving quite the performance, now trying to understand the importance.

Each encounter teaching a lesson, Still I will be the heroine.
