Darling, my darling

Poem

Darling, wipe those tears from your face

Take my hand and I'll hide you from the world

In my ample bosom, find your solace

Though I know you have become numb to your feelings

Surely my love is the exception?

Darling, you, the very apple of my eye

Come to me, find me and cling to me.

The world has been a very cruel home to you

But I promise with me you will find kindness

Surely my gentle touch can heal you?

Darling, look at me

Let me experience the divinity that is your soft gaze

Let our spirits morph when our souls finally mate

And if I must, I will scout the universe to make sure the stars align in our favor

Surely peace is what you deserve?
