DARK CLOUDS AND RAINBOWS
how I felt when he left

It started with a little poem,
Love written on each line.
The words, though strong were simple -
Easy to define.
The more I cried, the more I wrote.
Somehow it eased the pain.
Someday, I'll find the rainbow
Through the dark clouds and the rain.
I wrote to say I love him, still,
Though he's now passed away.
Like the rainbow in the breaking storm,
I'll get over him - someday.

Thank you for sharing such a personal experience about your mom with us. She must be very proud of you
Poignantly beautiful. I liked the hopeful tone of:” “ Someday, I'll find the rainbow Through the dark clouds and the rain. I wrote to say I love him, still,”💖
Oh, Lovely, Margaret <3
This was so quietly powerful. I felt every word as if it were a whisper from a heart still healing. The simplicity made it even more moving — grief, love, and hope all wrapped in a few tender lines. Thank you for sharing something so deeply personal.
Rainbows are God's way of showing us the hope in living our lives in the ways we need and what we need to do and feel and bring understanding. Good job.
