Dancing
Poem about drowning in alcoholism trying to find the light.

Sad girl, why are you here?
Sad girl, stop making yourself numb.
Sad girl, why do you keep trying to disappear?
Sad girl, God, why are you so dumb?
Sad girl, now look what you have done.
Sad girl, so did it help?
Sad girl, did you forget where you came from?
Sad girl, did you forget how your mom felt?
Sad girl, so why did you go back?
Sad girl, they begged you not to.
Sad girl, you know how it makes you act.
Sad girl, you should have been through.
Sad girl, yet you went back twice.
Sad girl, want to pick out a coffin?
Sad girl, it’s never treated you that nice.
Sad girl, why must you chase sin?
Sad girl, vodka is not your friend.
Sad girl, how much longer are you going to dance with the devil?
Sad girl, you’ll both reach your end.
Sad girl, your life is so fragile.
Sad girl, it’s time to move on.
About the Creator
Savannaha Klein
Sadness never hides in the depths of your eyes. The Sad Girl series follows a true broken path of alcoholism, miscarriage, mental health, shattered relationships, and more. My work contains the brutal honesty that comes with all of it.
