You’ve been dancing his dance for quite sometime
Leading you through the burning flames
Is the boy who swore to love you, holding you tight
He spins you around and around and all you feel is pain
And every day you dance this dance of his
With your feet burning on hot coals
With every step, every burn, you wonder if this is even worth it
You wonder if this dance is worth your soul
And somehow you can’t let go
Leading you through his rhythm, twirling you around
You feel every flame scorching your skin
and all you want is the flames to go out
so, you wait for this dance of his to end
Girl, don’t you dare let him take one more step with you
Take the lead
Don’t wait until his fire burns you out
If only you knew how strong you can be
Because every day you are dancing this dance of his
With your feet burning on hot coals
With every step, every burn, this isn’t worth it
He isn’t worth your soul
You have to let go
Take him on a dance of your own
Like the shining star you are
Lead him through the blinding snow
Make him feel your pain and Fight for your broken heart
Make him dance your dance with you
Until his feet are black with frost
What happened to the boy you once knew?
Think of what his love has cost
Don’t be afraid to dance your dance with him
Take him through your own rhythm
Spin him around and around
Until he can no longer burn you down
Let your cold air put out his flames
And you wonder will this dance ever end
Don’t you dare take the blame
On a love that was lost long ago
And once you’ve danced with him through your icy storm
Its time to let go
The fire has gone out
Let the snow melt
Let go of his hand
Take a bow
Don’t let him dance his dance with you
