Distractions

Do you ever feel the ripples and the waves that flow?

I do, they embrace me in a rhythm that never seem will never slow,

Swaying and moving to every little beat,

They beckon me to move my feet.

Rhythms and notes that have an otherwordly feel,

A long lost language that doesn't feel real.

Calls of wonder are within those notes,

Talking to me as my body dances and floats,

I don't try to run, I know this feeling to well,

Offering me movement and the secrets it has to tell.

Notes of love, of hurt and all, it's song that offers me a safe place to recall.
