Acrostic Nonsense Poem

By Paul StewartPublished 3 years ago 1 min read
The infamous beast itself!

Working on other things and something keeps eating at my brain

Only one way I know how to stop those words from causing me pain

Make something with them, use them, and then I can have peace again

Beast of my nightmares, thinking of its name, driving me fucking insane

Love how I can't remember that detail, but on me, it happily leaves its stain

Eagerly, I'm searching through the random insult and monikers tin

Can't find the right card, there's a Jabberwocky and Rumpelstiltskin

Only other funny-looking beast I can think of with a funny-looking chin

Could it be the Gruffalo? No, he doesn't make the same kind of din

Kill the lights and close my eyes, looks like the bloody CW takes the win

Thank you for reading my nonsense acrostic. Inspiration comes from the strangest of places, from walking outside on a gloriously sunny day to the comments section on Vocal. If you would like to learn the origin and inspiration, you can find it in the comments of this piece here.

As the beast in question is rare, I figured this would be a good second entry into the Uncommon Challenge.
