I walk by, the cool autumn air

Feet slipping on fresh leaves

Brown and wasted on the ground

Just behind, the tops of trees

The glimmer of the sun's rays

I see your face.

The eyes of someone I've known

Before. The eyes of someone I've

seen in my mind as if in a dream.

I approach, enshrouded by the energy

Wrapped up in your arms, understanding

Above the sky, beyond the clouds

Where both of our souls will surround

This place we love so much

Where we may embark on that journey

When I was a little girl,

I spent many nights

looking up

at that same sky

wondering who is sitting

all the way across the world

laughing, smiling, crying,

thinking of us, seeing us too,

in the future

When the story I start to tell

Puts me under this spell

Mesmerized by this place

Yearning for the answers

To almost everything

I want to learn new things

Be with new people

My mind, waves of thought

That flow like currents

Through my head,

Straight to you---

like sending a kiss

from afar, the light hits

your eyes, and you feel me

calling out to you, a little spark

of electricity

hits the inside of your brain

a little pinch, letting you know

I'm here, and then

You start to feel the music within

Our music.

It keeps playing

over and over in my mind

I've always known deep down

You were here

But for a while there

I had begun to convince myself

That you really didn't exist.

I'm glad you exist.
