My cell is my prison

I'm a prisoner of time

Waiting for you

Day by day

Hour by hour

Minute by minute

Second by second

Time goes by

And I'm wondering why

Trying so hard not to cry

When I look on the screen

and find nothing there.

No news. No new salutations.

Just an empty page

Scrolling across the screen,

Trying to fill this space,

But nothing will replace it

Nothing will be the same

Everything's changing

I'm waiting for you to call

To say what I think

You're going to say

I've been waiting my

Entire life for you.

Every night,

Every day,

Just to hear

three words.
