If my poetry were cupcakes

They'd be vanilla dyed black

They would be all the things I love

Mixed with the darkness of my past

There'd be a bit of raspberry

For when I've felt most alive

And just a hint of peppermint

For the element of surprise

The frosting would be white and fluffy

With swirls of bright blue

Because the beauty of the world

Almost always shines through

There'd be a hint of almond there

To represent my selfish love

And on top there'd be a blackberry

For the one I'm always thinking of

The paper would be white

With dark blue cursive words

And everyone that took a bite

Would feel what they deserved

They would bring joy to those I love

Understanding to those that hate

And it would be my greatest hope

That all of them would be ate

sad poetry
