The world has gone blue grey
A makeshift monochrome majesty
The hills roll as if to say
'We love this frosted sea'
The muffled crunch of snow underfoot
The icicles hanging free
Elder chimneys tinged by soot
Roads suddenly gleam
A new parka, fur so soft
The good boots, a little spendy
The hat holding my hair aloft
A mug of hot cocoa, so tasty
The winter can be cold and dark
A tendency towards lonely
But all these comforts give a spark
Helps the night feel toasty
So here I'll sit and watch the snow fall
Stacking upon my tree
What I wish is just for all
To get nice and cozy
