Crows Heart
A Scavengers Secret (An acrostic entry into Poppy’s Prompt #9 and the silence challenge)
By Kenneth cruzPublished about a year ago • Updated about a year ago • 1 min read

Silent sin fractured my heart
I watched our candle as it burned, and melted away
Like a feather falling slow
Exposed you as a scavenger, your heart dark as a crow
Nearly depleted, I had to do the unthinkable and let go
Cowardice or survival, I do not know
Escape was my final ace, for with you I melted away like snow.

Kind of a sad acrostic poem. Melting away from heart break. Nicely Done!!
"Exposed you as a scavenger, your heart dark as a crow"- My favorite line! Another smart writer, combining the two prompts. Nice work, Kenneth!
Intriguing insight.
Whoaaaa, my favourite was that last line!! Such an awesomeeee Acrostic!
You had me with "heart dark as a crow". This poem is both haunting and intriguing in its darkness. Well done.
