Breaking The Silence
An acrostic call to be heard in modern times
By Kenneth cruzPublished about a year ago • 1 min read

Striking thirteen, it’s 1989, silence me, cancel me!
Impose your control and call it what you will!
Listen in, and block me cause you don’t agree with my views.
Expression and freedom of speech are dead.
Now we practice disguised censorship instead.
Cancel cultures a cancer that paints my face red.
End it with protest, and let your voice bring them dread.

Whoaaaa, that was so intense and powerful! Loved your poem!
Excellent point...you covered this empathically in your poem. No censorship and no banned books!
