Critique Them Not, Because They Paid Them No Mind

Underrated Unmitigated Un-united

By Rowan Finley Published 7 years ago 1 min read

Small reward for their artistic efforts and pulsing passion,

though about this, they cared not, with faces sunken and ashen.

Poised paint brushes, dancing pens, metal cans hissing, shaping hands,

many days they struggled and yielded so few fans.

Critique them not, because they paid them no mind,

searching for the perfect finishing touch for work to bind.

Streets and alleyways were the new museums where admission was free...

free with a twist... if they dared dark walks full of risks to even see.

Buildings wearing tattoos of another ones choice and precision,

art by night, or minutes before a bloodthirsty fight, was such decision.

Steal not their innocence and purity in this way under the still eyes of art,

rethinking their reckless impulses that potentially break them apart.
