I cried so hard, the night seemed to weep,

As shadows grew long and the silence ran deep.

Tears fell like rain in a storm’s wild embrace,

Cleansing the heart, leaving a soft, hollow space.

Unraveled the strength I thought would forever last.

Each sob a release, a release of the pain,

Washing away echoes of shadows and strain.

Yet in the depth of the sorrow, a light starts to gleam,

A promise of dawn, a new kind of dream.

I found in the darkness, a tender new trail.
