Create more, stress less

The empty canvas waits,

primed, yet silent.

Inspiration, a playful sprite,

has vanished into thin air.

A heaviness settles,

a weight behind the eyes,

a stillness in the fingers.

The well of ideas seems dry,

cracked earth under a relentless sun.

And then, a stirring.

A random image, a fleeting glimpse.

A half-heard melody, a scent on the breeze.

Something shifts within.

The brush trembles.

A daub of color, tentative and small,

then spreading, gaining confidence.

Forms take shape from nothingness.

Sentences begin to form,

slowly at first, like hesitant footsteps,

then gathering pace.

The blockage dissolves,

not with force, but a gradual thaw.

New visions unfold, surprising and bright.

Unexpected links are forged, invisible chains connecting.

The pleasure of making resurfaces,

a soft pulse in the fingertips,

a vibrant current set free.

The surface fills, no longer a void,

but a record of the returning tide.
