cow and fence

under duress?

By Justin LarsonPublished 4 years ago 1 min read

Under duress?

Over the moon,

Caress the carpet and

Self-aware laughter about lessons from cartoons

Free from form

But mostly from function

An indifferent dissident

Sunflower daydreams about eclipses

A mausoleum mad about the rent

An editor inserting superfluous ellipses

The straight arrow kid, out of shape bent

Stifling boredom

Too much gas in the tank

The airplane can’t lift without burning off fuel

Attention to detail was never the issue

Deficit spending, we miss you

Refract to black

Transparent

All bass

Drowning out excessive violins

The orchestra conducting itself currently

When even the words describing the problem

Are the solution to the sentence

You thought you were shackled with

Before landing on the other side

Time was never the problem

It was independence

When we worshipped the sun instead of this jackal myth

Over here, the vents are unclean and inside

Them is mold

Because freedom to be what you say you mean

Is responsibility to clean
