BEFORE THE CELL PHONE AND INTERNET ERA...
PROBABLY EVEN MORE TRUE TODAY!
Take off your watch,
Moses, for this is holy ground!
Cease measuring our conversations
In milliseconds between handshakes
With Omegas and the hands spread apart
Benediction of a Timex
Destroy the despotism of the digital
When the immediate obliterates eternity.
No past to ponder,
No future to foretell-
Wait upon Me and long
For an unknown hour
When I arrive quite punctually,
Breaking the shackles of a wristband.
