Cotton Candy

In a perfect world, I am cotton candy.

Pink, like sunsets in the Land of Living Skies.

Soft, to touch, delicate and handy,

For when a child or true friend cries.

In my world, trapped in my pink brain, frustration

Over order in society, my future, my plan.

Every internal and external argument leads to my menstruation,

As my pink organ predicts who I am.

But I am not only pink as I may appear,

I am also blue and orange and green and grey.

All my life, I have been raised to fear

Being agressive, speaking my mind, getting in the way.

In a perfect world, I am my colourful and joyful self.

A rainbow of personalities reserved to be appreciated by myself.
