Corridors

Lonliness

Here I am again, wandering through

the corridors of you again.

I know my way around

these hallways and chambers;

I’ve lived in some of them

for a time. It’s comforting to have you

with me when I visit; so many nights

I’ve roamed these lonely rooms

by myself, only your memories

of me to keep me company.

We argue, your memories and I.

We call each other liars;

we try to destroy each other,

your version of me and my version of me.
