Watching a sunrise over the ocean,
Or a sunset in the desert,
Coral beams paint the sky.
They stop onlookers in their tracks,
Their smiles shine radiance back.
I see the same luminosity in me.
Every time I smile at a stranger,
Or play along with the child creating a world of make believe,
The gleam that shines in me mirrors the Divinity living all around me.
Blushing skies,
Coral roses in full bloom,
Ripe summer peaches,
They tell a story of my world.
Coral, like the color.
Coral, like the reef.
I introduce myself this way to bring clarity to my title.
Through my presence I bring vibrancy and sanctuary,
Just like the namesakes that came before me.
The name that my Mother chose for me long before my birth.
She called me to this Earth.
Now here I am with a soul on fire,
Burning coral embers to warm hearts and fan the flames of desire.
My name isn’t just a color,
It’s a gift from my Mother.
A gift that I can keep on giving,
Through every smile, word and inspired moment.
I’m going to let my coral tinted light shine,
Until the radiance stops shimmering from my eyes,
When I take my last breath and sail on into the celestial sunset.
