CONTENT WARNING

an old observation

CONTENT WARNING

***PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT THIS CONTAINS PROFOUND TRUTHS THAT WILL SEVERELY HARM YOUR FALSE CONSTRUCT SELF - - - THE EGO WHICH PROTECTS YOU FROM REALISING YOU ARE NOT IN FACT A ‘LOVING’ & ‘KIND’ HUMAN BEING***

Only read further if you are very good at lying to yourself, or are prepared for your ego to die right here, right now. Otherwise you will find that continuing your life as ‘normal’ will become highly distressing.

You have been warned!

Isn’t it funny

How we put content warnings on electronic pages in the ether which contain invented symbols, arranged into ‘words’, arranged in a fashion that could be triggering to some ‘sensitive’ person out there in the great beyond, while we chow down on the bones of chickens, tearing their delicate and tender flesh with our teeth,

completely unphased.

Or how we drink liquids and consume foods made from the udder of imprisoned and raped cows, goats and ewes who had their babies ripped from them year after year after year, whilst being too delicate and precious to discuss harrowing human miscarriages, or rape.

Or how we label luxury as fancy wine glasses photographed beside great slabs of carcass, oozing the blood of murdered beings as precious and loving as puppies, whilst being entirely incapable of reading about the murder of a human child.

Isn’t it funny?

Our capacity for cognitive dissonance. Which we don’t call insanity, for if we did, the entire world would be labelled insane. And cruel. And wouldn’t that be devastatingly shameful….?

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Inspired after browsing other people’s articles whilst eating my lunch… and coming across a horrific photo (as above) and feeling like vomiting. It really made me think that there should be content warnings on posting such content (the flesh of murdered sentient beings). Yet there is not. Because the majority of the world believe it to be a perfectly ‘normal’ practice. Because the majority of people in this world navigate it with blind, dead and dumb hearts. Entirely closed to their own cruelty. It’s painful to exist in such a world.

I can’t change you.

I can only try my best to ignite your own critical thinking.

I can only try my best to jump start your dead heart.

Most people are under carnism and don't even realize it; we justify killing certain animals here in America for food while another part of the world sees what we do as cruel. (Speaking generally here), Americans love dogs and would find it terrible to eat them, but then turn around and devour pigs and cows in the form of bacon and burgers. You hit the nail right on the head, stating ignorance is bliss = cognitive dissonance.

  • I'm a vegetarian and I loveeeeee killing babies/kids in my stories. It's my speciality 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I do put up a content warning for it though. Actually, that's the reason I told you not to read my story "Oneirodynia", because it mentions the killing of babies. But my story was a subtle stab at the cruelty of the dairy industry and I compared it to if the same were done to humans. You can have a look at it if you're interested. I totally agree with what you've discussed above!

  • Some excellent insights , ironic that meat eaters are often sickened by anything that implies that their meal is the result of murder
