Confessional Thoughts

how it would be

Often I muse upon how it would be

if we could see, literally see,

the connections between you and me.

Between they and them,

She and She,

He and She,

My I and your I.

I muse upon how it would

feel, to be so aware of what we sense to be real.

I muse upon who is in charge,

which spirit or power decides what to

I muse upon what we are not

told.

Are we in a race to understand it all,

before we are even old?

I muse upon how we would say;

This sewn - red - buttoned ribbon I can see between

me and you, differs completely

from their dyed - blue - sequined denim,

between they and them.
