When we don’t blink;

flat card

shiny screens

tumbleweed

When we see gloss;

fibres shrink

sparks skitter

squared-glitter

When it flicks past;

throbbing maps

torso shafts

10-second crafts

Then with starry-eyed rats;

unvalidated mobs

Cyber Queens

and tepid cleaning

Then with hardened cheeks;

hidden villains

rouge teeth

and uncouth bleats

Then with development traps;

gaslit grins

ghosting hats

and bleary – burnt out chats

- We lift a pencil

To draw the footpath,

on a scrap of straw

beneath the veil of now

- We turn consciously left

To absorb the mind ,

with a new view

beneath the veil of now

- We push that door

To feel the body ,

move peace into flow

beneath the veil of now

You tell your friend;

you noticed fearful hope ,

in people’s masked faces

beneath the veil of now
