To the one who didn’t love me

You never really loved me. I was just a trophy for your ego.

When your conscious cleared you decided to let me go.

You spoiled me with your affection. Everything I took from you was good.

However. The only thing it made you look was good.

You loved me for about as long as it costs you nothing.

Then you rejected me the moment that it cost you something.

I craved your love and acceptance. The things I did for your approval.

Someone told you I had to go. From there you issued my removal.

I thought I was special because you gave me a label.

But when the ***** said no you uninvited me from the table.

I tethered to you, but it turns out I was just a tool.

I wonder how and why I became the biggest fool.

Desperately I clung to the way you made me feel.

In the end I came to find that your love was never real.

I chase you no more now that I’ve reached the end of your love.

My rose colored lens is gone. No more conditional love.
