The morning sun emerging gifted the rich sky a burgundy hue,
Marking the start of the day my soul has been envisioning for what feels like eternity,
As my delicate, shaking hand grasped an orange from the earthenware dish sat in my ornamented kitchen,
Saffron light poured through my panoramic windows,
Causing my verdant green eyes to twinkle as I recall that it’s the day I have been yearning for,
I glance over at the elegant blue tits, dancing and singing, causing azure streaks to flash round the garden,
The graceful avians settle, sitting amongst the periwinkle violets scattered around the land,
I watch in awe as cherry blossom petals depart from their tree, fluttering to the ground in a leisurely carnation progression,
Now I stand, amid the event that had lingered in my mind for forever and a day,
As colours narrated previously rule the sky,
This time on flags, with merry people waving them ever so ambitiously,
Celebrating their individual identities, revealing their true courage and strength,
It is the month of love and this is society of life, the indestructible community of colour.
