“If we judge people,

nobody is ours.

If we understand people,

everyone is ours.”

It may be a ‘human thing’ or just the world we grow up in

but it is so easy to judge someone

by jumping to the wrong conclusion,

maybe without even knowing all of the facts.

If and when we do this,

we will lose that person

as a friend or as a loved one.

However,

if we give him or her the benefit of the doubt,

and try to understand them

with the quality of compassion,

that person will know

that someone is on their side.

And we all need that!

This will enrich our lives

because we will keep our friend or loved one,

and this will build up

a strong and caring community.

A heart that understands

is better

than a heart that doesn’t care.

We all deserve to feel loved

and

valued in our lives.
