Coming out

There once was Adam and Eve

But then came along Steve

Steve grabbed Adam by the hand

Then they traveled across the land

Eve went away

Hiding in the closet she realized she was gay

Her parents began to grieve

Supportive parents is all that she needs

Adams parents on the other hand

Know about him and Steve across the land

And they still love him

They still support him

With compassion in their voices

They realize he should make his own choices

Unlike Eve who’s parents grieve

Adam’s tell their son

There is nothing wrong with a man who lays with another man.

Eve can’t handle all this stress

She thinks, why did my life become such a mess?

Days pass and Eve’s parents still continue to grieve

They tell her, being gay is not ok

God made the world for Adam and Eve

Dad, understanding is what you need

Adam and Steve are happy

Hand n hand they’ve traveled across the land

Seeing everything that there is to be seen

Sure you thought me and Adam were meant to be

But dad I’ve figured out who I’m meant to be

This is me

And dad I want you and mom to support who I want to be

Eve’s parents don’t know what to say

Never in a million years did they think their daughter would wind up gay

Their old feelings however don’t stay

With PRIDE in their voices

They realize their daughter should make her own choices

Adam and Steve are happy

And Eve has finally found where her voice is
