Comfortopia

A Tale As Cold As Time

By Jay WildfeathersPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

The desire for comfort has impressed into our souls the impression of our uncomfortable feelings.

Reeling from lifes unhealed cracked ceilings peeling back the shell we have shattered in moments of intense feelings and made our shelter until we outgrow it or until our heart starts revealing…

Who was stealing so we snap back up like venus fly traps digesting consuming concealing.

Comfort is an allusion we narrate for ourselves every night amidst the reality of our dystopia that our mind has merged the beginning and the end so all we know is comfortopia.

A land where you can pretend to be okay with everything not being okay with things that will float away or return to the ground when they dig up our bones they will never tell how hard we tried so hard to not be alone.

Atoning for unwanted moaning and groaning over the latest reality phoney.

What is comfort but a modern day stoning of adventure so we rezone our fear so we can live in our surrender.

Never and never were we made for such horrendous and monotonous endeavors

But our words were made to soar as we speak life into the center and marvel as it billows and collapses with each moment of splendor.

Clever is a word im not familiar with but comfort is a barren and dry desert of underdeveloped effort.

So take my advice gamble for glory, abandon comfort and get hurt.
