You come forth and appear
What had been missing, suddenly here
It moves - oh so quick, not even four dates
Still, we secured, why wait?
Open arms are not to be taken for granted
In the name of love, we planted
Seeds of love, still sprouting - forever scattered
Difficulties lie ahead, yet we’re neither scared
Scarred? Yes. Hurt enough to be on guard?
No, we appreciate paths taken regardless
Of what had been missing
We always count our blessings
You see not everything is destined
Life never really works as how we intend it
It just leads, and we just follow
Like how we just knew, just as we know now how
When our spaces converged, we’ve been forever falling
And meeting halfway whenever needed, and always growing
In such a microcosm that cannot be measured
I have no words for such phenomena, all I can muster
Is a feeling recognised, of joy, of comfort
Have I the chance to have touched upon it?
How you, being near is enough,
That I’ve not known of such delight since I was a child
Of how you lean in to kiss me, with loving smiles
Gentle, carefree, and oh so fun
Yet purposeful like flowers bending towards the sun
With open arms extending - like a trellis keeping me upright
Only you can know; my fears of withering that keep me up at night,
And that the older I get, the more afraid I have become
Of thunder and things that come crashing down
But hearing your beating heart, feeling its warmth - dispels all concerns
It has and shall continue to weather any storm
Even the thought of being six feet underground, devoured by worms
And black holes, it bothers me no more
For what it’s worth, that says it all, when all is said and done
With a love like ours, I'm forever grateful for what will come
With you, my future is bright and all my fears will ultimately disappear
All because you had come forth and appeared
