Come All Ye Faithful

A Christmas Carol Poem

By Earl W. PearlPublished 2 years ago 1 min read

Hark the herald angels sing

A Lamb was born this day

Hail unto this newborn King

And praise Him, come what may

Deck the halls with boughs of holly

Enjoy this time of year

Mindful of our acts of folly

Let’s keep our conscience clear

We three kings of Orient are

Let's honor Christ our Lord

He's always near, He's never far

Man’s hope has been restored

O little town of Bethlehem

Or so the carol goes

He didn’t come here to condemn

But save, the Bible shows

God rest ye merry gentlemen

This chilly Christmas night

His love for us is genuine

Let’s pray some see the light

Oh come, oh come, Emmanuel

“God with us,” we are told

While in a tomb, His body lay

But death just couldn’t hold

It came upon a midnight clear

His mercy's always rife

God to some is once a year

For some, a way of life

Glory be to God on high

Sing all of heaven’s host

“Happy Holidays” doesn’t fly

In “Merry Christmas,” boast

Holiday
