A time not so long ago

New age explorers

Never satisfied and

Intrepid in their

Villainous machinations

Envisioned adventures even as

Requiem bells tolled

Sailing forth endeavored

Across uncharted seas

Remembered today with a champion’s glory

Yet in second they arrived, the winners unheralded

Nice direction you took this in. And I learned a new word (unheralded). It's amazing how one word can impact the thoughts of the where this was leading.

  • I love when poetry has structure and impact! It's not easily achieved, and is truly a beautiful thing! LOVED this!

I also didn’t notice the acrostic at first! Subtlety achieved! Some great word choice and a cool concept to work off an annual observation

Fantastic, I completely didn't realise it was an acrostic until the end. Sublime work, friend.
